In a non-championship 8-Round bout on the undercard of Deontay Wilder vs. Bermane Stiverne 2, WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Amanda Serrano (34-1-1, 26 KO’s) took to the DiBella Entertainment ring opposite Marilyn Hernandez (26-11, 17 KOs) of Dominican Republic.

Serrano started the match as she typically does – aggressive and overpowering, shocking Hernandez at every turn.

An early body-shot sent Hernandez to the canvas. Regaining her footing, ferocious onslaught of combinations sent her to the canvas two additional times before the bout was stopped in the opening round.

Hernandez just could not stay ahead of the persistent Serrano.

Serrano has signed a managerial contract with Misha Tate’s management company with ambitions of the riches of the UFC, so boxing may have just lost one of it’s young stars.
