This quote rang loud and clear while proving true for August 2015’s #WomenofBoxing Boxer of the Month, Noemi Bosques.

Bosques grew up a jock and now concentrates on being the pure athlete and roll-model for her daughter among others.

She has sacrifice so much in her life to get to be Champion. Now, holding 3 belts, she is happy but nowhere done with her boxing career and goals.

The latest belt is the WIBA International Super Flyweight strap that was bestowed on her with a decision win over Marisol Miranda in a rematch from a 2014 draw.

Determination and perseverance pushed Bosques to victory and the next step towards becoming the top Flyweight in the world. She certainly has banged her way to the top in the US and is not afraid of any challenge. In May, she took fellow #WomenofBoxing #BotM winner Heather Hardy the distance in a close decision defeat on a #WomenofBoxingonPBC card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Post victory, she took to social media and pushed past the largest #WomenofBoxing candidate pool in the fan-based honor’s history. She secured sufficient votes from the true fans of the sport to be declared the top performer of August.

Congrats to the Champ, the shining example of #ChampionStatus!
