Former Flyweight champion Ava “the Lady of Boxing” Knight (14-2-4, 5 KOs) of Chico, California outpoints Judith Rodriguez (8-10, 5 KOs) of Districto Federal, Mexico on Saturday at the Centro de Usos Multiples in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico to move closer to getting her shot at the WBC title.

Knight appeased the Mexican crowd, as she normally does, with her fierce and overpowering attacks on her opponents. She was never threatened for an L, with her constant aggressive combinations that earned the overwhelming edge with the judges in this eight round affair.
