Unified Welterweight Champion, Cecilia Brækhus (27-0, 7 KOs) returns to the ring fully recovered from the injury to her right foot that she sustained during her unification bout with Jennifer Retzke in November of 2014. The injury nagged the champ into cancelling her November 28, 2015 match with Switzerland’s Ornella Domini.

It appears as though she is back in championship form, ready to face #9 ranked Chris Namus (21-3, 8 KOs) of Uruguay in defense of her loaded gold and leather stash on Saturday, February 27th at Gerry Weber Stadium, Halle, Germany.

This bout will be Namus’ fourth attempt at becoming Champion of the World in her 9 year career. Her three losses all come during championship bouts for WBC and WBO Super Lightweight titles. Namus is currently riding a five match win streak into the championship bout.
