braekhusNovember 28th at the ESPRIT Arena in Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany co-featuring with the Wladimir Klitscko/Tyson Fury showdown, Unified Werlterweight Champion “The First Lady” Cecilia Brækhus (27-0, 7 KOs) defends her megaload of championships against Switzerland’s Ornella Domini (9-0, 2 KOs).

To add to the excitement, the US market gets to see the #WomenofBoxing P4P #1 in action live on HBO. HBO will broadcast the co-features along with UK’s Sky Box Office and Germany’s RTL networks.

Brækhus was scheduled to face German triple-title holder Ramona “Wild Dragon” Kühne on the previously scheduled card on October 24th, but the show was postponed due to Klitschko suffering a calf injury in training.

Now the champ faces a newly assigned foe in Domini.

Domini is taking a huge step up in her competition level since she has only fought in two 10 round matches and all nine matches fought in her native Switzerland and one in Serbia.

This is the 1st official bout under Brækhus‘ newly signed promoter contract with K2 Promotions and is her first bout since November 29th of 2014 where she added the International Boxing Organization (IBO) title to her stronghold with a dominating Unanimous Decision win over Jennifer Retzke. The win combined the IBO strap with her IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO belts.

I expect a somewhat easy defense for Brækhus since her opponent does not appear to have enough experience to truly threaten the champ.
