World Boxing Council Lightweight Female Champion, Belgian Delfine Persoon, once again defended her crown by defeating France’s Myriam Dellal via UD in Zwevezele, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

Almost a year after her last fight, and operations in both hands, a fully healed Persoon returned to the ring to defeat Dellal by 99-91, 99-91 and 100-90, to complete the sixth defence of her 135 pounds WBC belt.

Persoon won the WBC lightweight title in April 2014, when she defeated Argentina’s Erica Farias.

Since then, she made a half dozen successful defences against: Diana Prazak, Nicole Boss, Maiva Hamadouche, Christina Linardatou, Ruth Stephanie Aquino and Myriam Dellal.
