Scotland and London’s 27 year old Super Welterweight Hannah Rankin (3-1) won her first professional title on Friday evening on British Warrior Boxing Promotions show at York Hall in London.

In her third match in less than two months, Rankin won a decisive 8-round bout over Ester Konecna (1-5-1) of the Czech Republic to bestowed the BPA International Classic Challenge Championship belt.

Official Score: 79-73

Rankin has been a busy European challenger, since making her debut over with this same opponent back in May – a 59-57 points win.

In September, Rankin earned win #2, a one-sided decision over 60 fight veteran Borislava Goranova.

In October, she received the opportunity to work with champions’ Mikaela Lauren (in preparation for her match with Cecilia Brækhus) and Christina Hammer (for her camp for last week’s championship bout with Gifty Amanua Ankrah).

As part of the Brækhus vs. Lauren Unification Bout in Norway, Rankin was featured on the undercard but suffered a close Split Decision defeat at the hands of Joanna Ekedahl.

That unfortunate loss did not seem to break much of Rankin’s spirit as she now bounced back in dominant fashion.

Let’s see what’s up next for Rankin. Keep your eye on her.
