From WBC:

braekhus-mathis-ii-press-1The keenly yearned for rematch between the World Boxing Council welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus (28-0), and France’s Anne Sophie Mathis (27-3-1), is on October 1st at the Arena Spectrum in Oslo, Norway.

Just four weeks before the bell tolls, both fighters stole some precious moments from their training routines, to attend a press conference at the “The Thief” Hotel in Oslo.

“One of us will fall, and it won’t be me!” Vowed the Colombian Norwegian, Braekhus.

The match has generated huge interest in Norway and this will be the first female fight in the country since 1981, after the government finally lifted the suspension on boxing three years ago.

“Many people say I am the Mike Tyson of women’s boxing and there’s a good reason for that. Cecilia Braekhus is smart, but I am stronger,” stressed Mathis, with fortitude!

The two fighters clashed in Denmark on September 2012, in what was an extraordinary fight that Brakhus won on points.

The match is considered as one of the greatest of female boxing of the last decades. Boxing fans are clamoring for chapter two on October 1st.
