Congrats Team Olszewski, from her Official Facebook Page

Driven by desire to avenge the split decision in a September 2014 8 round battle, Christina Fuentes came to dethrone the IFBA Flyweight Champion. In the second meeting in about 5 month, Champion Eileen Olszewski matched punch for punch throughout the 10 rounds of championship boxing.

Fuentes came in strong from the opening bell with aggression. But “The Hawaiian Mongoose” Olszewski defended her belt with footwork and technical game plan.

The champ leveled Fuentes early in the match with a left hook for the only knockdown and seems to have been the deciding factor. Fuentes mounted her advances with power body shots to wear down her opponent and earned her points to keep it close.

This match was a toe to toe clash of warriors. Both Ladies left it all in the ring in the rematch, leaving it to the judges. Olszewski earned the hard-fought Unanimouse Decision to retain her IFBA strap in front of the hometown crowd of Fuentes. Scores: 95-94, 96-93, 95-94.

Always a true professional, The Hawaiian Mongoose earned her respect in the ring and out. The #WomenofBoxing #BotM (the first ever #WoB #BotM) was fitting to be won by a true champion!
