Spain’s Minimumweight Joana Pastrana, of Madrid, was the first champion of the WBC Amateur Tournament. Now, she is on a hot streak since turning professional with her debut just two months ago.

On Saturday, Pastrana earned the Unanimous Decision edge over Bulgaria’s Teodora Bacheva (4-4, 1 KO) in her first career six-round matchup. Official Scores: 58-56, 58-56, 58-57.

The Orthodox Pastrana has been pounding away at her opponents to start her career:

  • On February 6th, in her pro debut, she obliterated Ivana Yaneva, putting her to the canvas three times en route to the TKO1.
  • Three weeks later (Feb. 28), Pastrana entered the ring for a quick stoppage of Maribel De Sousa in the opening round.
  • March 19th was a display of brutal bodywork in multi-knockdown 2nd Round TKO victory of Ana Simeonova.

We look forward to seeing Pastrana’s destined past to the top.
