Minimumweight Joana Pastrana (7-0, 3 KOs), of Madrid, Spain, was the first champion of the WBC Amateur Tournament. Next up, she is set to battle for her first professional championship.
Pastrana will head East to Augsburg, Germany to face local Tina Rupprecht (4-0, 3 KOs) for the Vacant WBC Silver Minimumweight title on October 7th.
This will be the 8th bout and first 10-Rounder of Pastrana’s career that just started in February.
Rupprecht is entering the ring for the 3rd time in 2016, after two years away.
