On the undercard of Sauerland Promotion’s Nordic Fight Night in Stockholm, Sweden, former WBC Super Lightweight Champion Klara Svensson returned to the ring for the first time in almost a year to get back to winning ways.

In her first bout since her sole career lose, to Erica Farias on May 2, 2015 for her WBC strap, Svensson easily handled German Lucia Morelli in a scheduled eight round contest in front of her homeland fans.

Svensson came out aggressive, trying to regain her championship form. She controlled the ring action as she coasted to nearly sweeping the scorecards.

Official scores: 80-72, 80-72, 79-73 all for Svensson

After the bout, Svensson returned to the ring to be in the corner of Mikaela Lauren’s opponent, Ivana Habazin. Is this a move to signal the rumor of an upcoming Swedish and Saulerland Stable Showdown of “The Swedish Princess” Svensson vs. “The Nordic Queen” Lauren?
