Hundreds of fans gathered at the Plazuela Miguel Hidalgo in Irapuato, to closely watch, scrutinize and study WBC female bantamweight champion Mariana “Barby” Juarez, training alongside the other protagonists, putting the finishing touches to preparations for this weekend’s boxing extravaganza.

Mariana once again showed the power, agility, grit and skills she will bring to bear against Germany’s Alesia Graf. Mariana did some shadow boxing and then hit the padded hands of Omar Franco. This will be the second defense of the title she won in April.

On the other hand, and not to be either outdone, or outshone, Alesia, caused great expectation, impressing fight fans, as she landed some powerful and accurate, thudding blows, drawing appreciative applause.
