Mariana Juarez Challenging WBC Champion Catherine Phiri on April 1

Mariana “Barby” Juarez, is inspired, declaring that on April 1 she will be contesting the bantamweight title of the World Boxing Council…the most prestigious boxing body.

Mariana will battle the Zambian fighter, Catherine Phiri and she calmly relies on the work she has done in the gym and especially her vast experience between the ropes.

“I know that Catherine is a rival that bases her strength on her hunger for triumph. I have no doubt that I will face the best version of the champion. However, I am ready and motivated to give my very best to become a two times world champion.”

“Barby” also spoke of the motivation that she has towards fighting in the historic venue Zocalo CDMX. Mariana is promising all of the fans to return the title to Mexico.
