Vying for the vacant NABF Female Super Welterweight Championship, Quebec’s Marie-Eve Dicaire (11-0) outpointed former world champion Marisa Nunez (7-9) of Argentina in a close 10-Round matchup on Thursday evening on G.Y.M. Gala show at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Being a replacement opponent due to Katia Alvarino’s ongoing Visa issues, former IBF Super Bantamweight Champion Nunez came in charged and ready to upset the undefeated southpaw.

Despite the slick and continuous Nunez counters, Dicaire’s reach kept the point collecting clean punches over the feisty Mexican opponent.

After 10 rounds, a slightly bloodied Dicaire was donned the NABF belt by Majority Decision. Official Scores: 95-95, 96-94, 96-94.
