Martha Salazar Defends her WBC Strap against Laura Ramsey November 7 in Richmond, CA

San Francisco, CA (September 29, 2015) Martha “the Shadow” Salazar (13-4-0) will be defending her WBC Heavyweight Title against Florida’s own Laura “Lady Ram” Ramsey (9-6-0). Ramsey is ranked #4 in the USA. The fight is brought to you by SquareVision Entertainment On November 7th, 2015 at The Richmond Auditorium in Richmond, CA

This 10 round bout will be Salazar’s first WBC title defense. Martha Salazar came back to the boxing scene after a 7 year layoff to beat then ranked #1 Sonya Lamonakis by Unanimous decision. Salazar won the WBC title when she fought Tanzee Daniel in November 2014.

It has been difficult to find an opponent willing to face Martha Salazar. We have heard many excuses by the top ranked boxers in the division and Salazar definitely does not want to face someone she has already beat. Laura Ramsey came back to the ring after a 5 year layoff and lost a controversial decision to Carlette Ewell in May 2015. Ramsey is the real deal and we are happy she wants to fight for the WBC title.
