KO Boxing Canada has announced that the much anticipated rematch between Edith Soledad Matthysse and Jelena Mrdjenovich has been scheduled for March 11th at the Shaw Conference Centre, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In August in front of her home fans, Argentinian Matthysse (14-7-1, 1 KO) added the WBC title to her WBA championship with a hard fought Unanimous Decision victory over Mrdjenovich (35-10-1, 10 KOs). Official scores were 97-93, 98-94, 96-94.

This time around, it is arranged on Mrdjenovich’s home turf where she seeks to regain her WBC belt along with the WBA crown. It will be redemption time as she looks to start another unbeaten streak following the loss that snapped her seven match stretch.
