Mikaela LaureMikaela Lauren (26-3, 11 KOs) successfully defended her WBC Super Welterweight title with a 5th round TKO of Jennifer Retzke (15-3-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday in her native Sweden.

Lauren came into the match focused, going right on the attack against her German counterpart. Retzke atruggled keeping up with the pace as Lauren dominated from the opening bell until the referee stopped the bout at 1:31 into the 5th round. Retzke seemed defenseless to Lauren fiery onslaught that prompted the early end.

After the bout, Lauren proclaimed, “Now I want to meet the world’s best boxers Cecilia Braekhus and I will beat her too.”
