Following breaking several ribs in training for a March return, WBO Super Featherweight Ramona Kühne (25-1, 10 KOs) is set to return to action. On July 8th, the champ will be defending her title against former European champion “the Pitbull” Djemilla Gontaruk (13-3-1, 2 KOs) on a stacked Sauerland Promotions card at Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, in Ludwigshafen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

Kühne last fight on July 16, 2016 where she stopped Ikram Kerwat after 5 rounds. She is riding a win streak that dates back to early 2010 and her only defeat at the hands of countrywoman Ina Menzer. In June of 2010, Kühne bounced back by capturing her WBO title with a 4th Round KO victory over Maribel Santana and kept a firm grasp since.

Gontaruk has been nearly perfect when fighting within her home country of Belgium, taking her losses in Finland, France, and the US. After winning 4 of her last 5 matches in the last year and a half, the Pitbull heads into Germany to take a bite out of the champion.

The Kühne vs. Gontaruk WBO Championship is one of six belts on the line during this 10 bout show. It will be featured along with Nicole Wesner vs. Hasna Tukic Championship match.
