Saturday’s “Back to Business” Showcase in San Francisco provided a Middleweight Division championship worthy showing from local Middleweight favorite Raquel Miller (5-0, 3 KOs) as she moved through veteran and WBC ranked Lisa Garland (15-9, 8 KOs).

Miller controlled the brief fight on fundamentals alone, cracking Garland’s body and head until a 1-2 combo floored her at the end of the 1st Round. Garland’s equilibrium was hampered too much to continue, stopping the bout at 2:00 of that opening round.

Miller’s fans have been requesting a match with her USA Boxing teammate and current WBC Super Middleweight Champion, Claressa Shields. Now that Shields has put focus on WBC Middleweight Champ, Christina Hammer, the fans may get their quest.
