The opening days of Rio 2016 Olympic Boxing are rapidly approaching. Competition commences on Friday, August 12th with many favorites in action like Canada’s Mandy Bujold and USA’s Mikaela Mayer.
Each division consists of 12 competitors, starting with 8 competing in the opening round to win the right to face the 4 higher seeded boxers in the Quarterfinal Round.
Heavily favored to win Gold will be: Nicola Adams (Great Britain) in Flyweight Division, Katie Taylor (Ireland) at Lightweight, and Claressa Shields (USA) at Middleweight.
