On Saturday evening, Schmelle “The Real Deal” Baldwin made Delaware history in becoming the state’s first female professional boxer when she stepped within the ropes of Night Night Promotions’ Battle for the Belts show at the Pal Center in Hockessin, DE in her pro debut.

Last week, Baldwin stated, “This is huge for me. I been an amateur for a long time. I finally get to show case my skills and get my name out there.”

She proved her nickname was appropriate with a huge 4-Round Unanimous Decision victory in the Middleweight division over Crystal Byers (0-2) of Ohio in front of a large hometown crowd.
