“GIVE TO EAT” – WBC WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMP IKRAM KERWAT SUPPORTS MISSION IN GHANA

Ikram_Ghana2-e1475784985892WBC female international lightweight champion Ikram Kerwat has joined the “Give To Eat Mission” in Ghana to help poor children.

Along with a team of volunteers from Germany, the WBC Women’s International Lightweight Champion traveled from Berlin to Nkum in the West African nation, to bring food and medicine to those who really need it most.

The German initiative “Give To Eat” focuses on building up schools and school feeding projects in Africa. When Ikram heard about the organization and was asked to make a donation in Germany, she spontaneously decided to join the team.

On her first trip to Nkum, she committed herself to several sponsorships of young boys and girls in rural areas, who’ve lost their parents and grow up in children’s homes.

“We are handing over donations to schools, hospitals, nursing homes and directly to children who desperately need every help they can get”, says Ikram, adding:

“I wish we could do more and I will definitely stay as long as I can and come back as soon as possible. I urge everybody to join us and help as much as you can. Nobody has to starve if we all learn to share.”

We are so very proud that Ikram is part of the WBC Family and support her in her exemplary effort to help those in need.
