munozwinWBC Super Flyweight Champion, Zulina Munoz (45-1-2, 27 KOs) cruises to a Unanimous Decision victory to retain her championship on Saturday over the challenging Gabriela Bouvier (12-6-1, 2 KOs) of Uruguay.

The Champ started strong from the opening bell with unmatched combinations to head and body of Bouvier, who responded with defensive maneuvers and quick counter punches to Munoz’ face.

munozkdMunoz controlled much of the bout with sharp lefts to the body that wore down Bouvier, combining with a mixture of technical punches to the head. Munoz leveled the challenger in the eighth round with a strong combination.

Bouvier applied a strong offense at moments with heavy rights, but could not dent the experienced and superior skilled champion. Her big round was the third where she appeared to hurt the Champ with a right. The ropes seemed to save Munoz from sure knockdown.

The WBC strap was again laid upon Munoz with scores of: 99-90, 99-91, 89-91.
