Originally scheduled for December 9th, the Super Bantamweight clash between Amanda Galle (3-0) and Shelly Barnett (4-2-2) will go down on Tuesday, January 28th at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This battle of Canadians will be a main attraction of the Lee Baxter Promotions show that is presented in association with DiBella Entertainment. It will also be streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS® as the 113th edition of DBE’s Broadway Boxing series.
Galle, a three-time National champion as an amateur from nearby Mississauga, Ontario, looks to start 2020 as she did with her stellar 2019 wins to open her professional career.
Galle debuted in late March with a Unanimous Decision win over Perla Esmeralda Rojas. Six Weeks later, she was back inside the ropes and outpointing Margarita Angeles. In June, Galle collected her third triumph, a Unannimous Decision victory against Daniela Ortiz.
The Bantamweight Canadian National Champion Barnett is coming off a hard-fought decision defeats to Noemi Bosques in September and Rosalinda Rodriguez for the WIBA World Championship. In 2020, she is striving to regain her form in front of hometown family and friends as she ventures back home from her current residence in the Chicagoland area.
