At Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Las Vegas on Friday night, “The Lady of Boxing” Ava Knight (17-2-4, 5 KOs) squared off with tough Mexican 46 bout veteran boxer in Mayela Perez.

Perez, a multi championship challenger, kept the persistent Mexican-style of boxing on Knight. Perez kept pressing forward with aggression.

Knight, with her higher level of experience, kept the comfortable distance and popped her scoring shots to easy to the points victory in their 6-Round Flyweight bout.

Official Scores: 60-54, 60-54, 60-54

Obviously, Knight wants a shot at world championship gold, but her power was off on Friday and she was slightly overweight at the weighins. She will surely be back to work quickly.
