From MTK Global:

DOMINANT MATHIE EARNS IMPRESSIVE WIN

Avril Mathie picked up her first win of 2019 in impressive fashion after she defeated Delaney Owen at the USF Sundome in Tampa, Florida.

Unbeaten star Mathie (3-0-1) was dominant throughout the fight, leading to her winning by unanimous decision after six rounds, with the judges scoring it 60-54, 60-54, and 59-54.

It means she is back to winning ways after her draw with Samantha Salazar for the vacant American Boxing Federation Continental Americas Female bantamweight title in October, plus she has also now won three of her four fights since turning professional in February 2018.

Two of those victories earlier in her career have come by stoppage, having picked up first round knockout wins over both Mirna Elizabeth La Hoz and Carolina Martinez de Moreta.

Mathie is now set to kick on towards big things during the rest of the year, as she looks to continue to rise through the ranks throughout 2019.

She was part of a big card in Florida, which featured a main event between Hector Luis Garcia and Charlie Serrano, along with the likes of Arnold Hill, Iron Alvarez and Jose Medina.
