Delfine Persoon Deals Maiva Hamadouche First Defeat in WBC Defense
Wednesday evening in Zwevezele, Belgium, WBC Lightweight Champion Delfine Persoon (35-1, 16 KOs) successfully defended her title for the 3rd time in a war with previously undefeated Maiva Hamadouche (9-1, 8 KOs) of France.
Hamadouche gave a valiant effort in pushing the champ for a full ten rounds, but experience persevered into victory.
The WBC belt was again bestowed upon Persoon in front of her Belgium fans by way of Unanimous Decision.
