Matchroom Boxing already has Wintrust Arena reserved for their return to Chicago on October 12. Matchroom’s only official announcement this far on this show has been that “USYK IS COMING”.
Chicago is obviously WBC Super Lightweight Champion Jessica McCaskill’s adopted hometown and the base location of majority of her bouts.
McCaskill (7-2, 3 KOs) captured the WBC crown in October of last year at the Wintrust Arena, a strong upset display to lift the belt off of Argentina’s Erica Farias (26-3, 10 KOs). The new champion’s team did confirm that a rematch clause was in the contract.

So it is no real surprise that former champion Farias has gone to social media and mentioned that her return to the ring would be the rematch with McCaskill on October 12th.
Farias has been recovering from an injury since last October, hindering the chances of the rematch and allowed McCaskill the chance to unify the WBC and WBA Super Lightweight titles in May. Venturing out to Washington DC, McCaskill handled Anahi Sanchez well for the Unanimous Decision victory to successfully Unify the belts.
Before the potential McCaskill vs. Taylor Rematch, it looks certain to be a glorious start to the fall harvest season as belts will most certainly be available to cultivate.
