Saturday evening at the Admiral Dome in Vienna, Austria, hometown favorite Eva Voraberger (20-5, 10 KOs) was upset by former champion Esmeralda Moreno (33-8-1, 11 KOs) of Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
Moreno connected with the combinations that counted to give her what seemed to be the edge over the defending champion, becoming the new GBU, IBO, and WIBF Super Flyweight Champion.
The bout was scored a majority decision with a bit of eye raising scoring. Official Scores: 96-94, 95-95, and oddly viewed 100-89.
