ESMERALDA MORENO: “I WANT A DIRECT REMATCH WITH KIKA!”
Visiting the WBC during the WBC weekly press conference, celebrated at the Digital Town of Telmex, former WBC light flyweight champion Esmeralda Moreno stated she wants a direct rematch with Jessica Chavez,
Moreno who called herself: “A Champion without a belt,” says she`s especially sad after coming back to her home without the belt she promised to present her family, particularly her daughter.
Esmeralda has prepared a letter of protest, which she`ll be presenting to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, stressing : “I know I won the fight I am asking the WBC and Mr. President Mauricio Sulaiman, to please check the fight and consider my request.”
Esmeralda says she`s always accepted defeats in her pro career without a murmur of complaint, but on this particular occasion she feels she did indeed win. Commenting about one Judge’s score of 97-93 against her, she asked: “Which fight did he see?”
