Yesenia Gomez preparing to defend her belt for the first time

Yesenia “Niña” Gómez from Cancun, will defend her WBC light flyweight championship for the first time on Saturday February 16.

“Niña” Gómez has completed another rugged week of work in Mexico City, meticulously and strictly supervised by trainer Ruben Lira, in the run up to defense number one against Japan’s Erika Hanawa (10-3-0, 4 KO’s).

“I am preparing myself with Rubén, working for my first defense of the title, committed to give 100% and the some, to defend it successfully,” she said.

The fight will be held at the “Oasis Arena Cancun” and will be part of the first boxing match of 2019 by Pepe Gómez and “Cancun Boxing” and “Boxing Time Promotions” of Guillermo Rocha. V
