From WBC:

Ex champion Klara Svennson announces her retirement

Former WBC super lightweight champion Klara Svensson has announced her retirement, and Klara who`s the Pride of Sweden, posted a message on her social networks: The Svenshow must continue!

I have decided to finish my professional boxing career today.

I made my professional debut in Hamburg, Germany, 2011.

And it turned out that I made my professional final in Hamburg, Germany in 2018.

As Oprah would say – The cycle is closed.

Between these years I have been world champion, they have knocked me down and I have stood up. I have lived in three countries and I have moved to different cities on my own, in search of greatness in the ring.

The love of my followers, friends and family. The respect and dedication of boxing coaches, physical trainers, training partners, promoters, sponsors and all my opponents will always be with me.

I look forward to an exciting future with new interesting projects!

The World Boxing Council wishes our beloved champion Klara, the greatest success in her future plans and endeavors.
