Nigeria native Helen Joseph (15-3-1, 10 KOs), now of New Haven, CT) has been outspoken about facing the best in the sport in numerous divisions. Finally she gets a shot… facing #2 Flyweight Tyrieshia Douglas (13-1, 6 KOs) of Baltimore, MD.

With exception to her 2015 challenge to Leonela Yudica and her IBF Flyweight crown, “Lady Tiga” Douglas has been on cruise control and leaving a path of destruction, claiming the WIBF Bantamweight title as well as UBF championships in various divisions. Her last bout was in November, an 8th Round stoppage of Crystal Hoy.

“Iron Lady” Joseph was also in action in November, claiming the WBF Bantamweight Title after stopping Elizabeth Anderson after 2 Rounds. Joseph is unbeaten since her 2015 bout with Jennifer Han for the IBF Featherweight championship.

Both are ready to bang on Friday, having extended camps due to postponement of their original fight date of May 11th in Philadelphia.

Shabazz Brotherz is promoting Friday’s show that features Douglas vs. Joseph as the 10-Round Main Event at Martin’s West in Woodlawn, MD.
