Gunning for Seven: Delfine Persoon Makes Seventh WBC Title Defense on Saturday Against Natalia Venesa del Valle Aguirre

Delfine’s Magnificent Seven!

World Boxing Council female lightweight champion Delfine Persoon, will defend her crown for the seventh time…on this occasion against Argentina’s Natalia Vanesa del Valle Aguirre, on Saturday at the Sportcentrum in Eernegem, Belgium.

Delfine comes from defeating Italy’s Monica Gentili in a non-title fight in January. Previously, she defended her title to by defeating France’s Myriam Dellal.

Delfine has already notched up six successful defenses against Diana Prazak, Nicole Boss, Maiva Hamadouche, Christina Linardatou, Ruth Stephanie Aquino and Myriam Dellal. She was crowned lightweight champion of the WBC in April 2014, when she defeated the tough Argentine Erica “Pantera” Farías.
