Spain’s Joana Pastrana (12-1, 4 KOs) and Germany’s Oezlem Sahin (24-1-1, 8 KOs) will compete for the vacant BF Minimumweight Title tonight at the Polideportivo Jose Caballero, in Alcobendas, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain on the Guantes de Lobo promoted show.
This will be the second world title shot for Pastrana following the unfortunate WBC Silver bout from October, 2016 where she fractured her right hand early in her championship match with Tina Rupprecht but battled through 10 rounds for the close decision loss. After full recovery, she captured the EBU title and has been back to her dominating self again.
The 41 year old Sahin has successfully earned GBU, WIBF, UBO championships but this will be her first competition for a major belt over her 11 year professional career.
Look for youth to make an impact in this one, in front of hometown fans.
