Greece-born Super Featherweight “Pink Tyson” Kallia Kourouni (9-1, 1 KO) returns to the ring with a new team as the co-feature on Siesta Boxing Promotions’ “Battle at Bracknell” on Sunday at Leisure Center in Bracknell, Berkshire, UK.
The GBU and WIBF Super Featherweight World Champion Kourouni will square off against the UK’s 10-year veteran Kristine Shergold (5-6, 1 KO).
Kourouni needed a stepup match after her sub-par performance in April against Monika Antonik and she will get it with Shergold. The champ is riding a seven fight win streak coming into Sunday’s bout.
Shergold has gone the distance with WBC champions: Delfine Persoon (Lightweight) and Eva Wahlstrom (Super Featherweight) and is coming off of a win over UK prospect Bec Connolly in late April.
Kourouni and Shergold are scheduled for 10 Rounds of battle on Sunday.
