Lisa Whiteside is Poised to “start paving my way through the flyweight division”

WHITESIDE: I WANT TO DOMINATE THE DIVISION

Female star Lisa Whiteside has set her sights on dominating the flyweight division ahead of her return to the ring on next month’s #MTKFightNight at the Bolton Whites Hotel.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Whiteside (2-0) is back in action on September 13 after winning both of her professional fights so far, and she’s ready to step up and take on all comers.

Whiteside said: “I’m really happy to be back again so soon after my last fight as I want to be boxing as often as possible and start paving my way through the flyweight division.

“My management SJam Boxing are wanting me to move on quickly which I want to do too. I am confident and feel I am capable to dominate the division for sure.

“I was happy with my last performance and I thought I had her out of there in the third round but she was very good at holding and spoiling.

“In some ways i’m glad I didn’t get the stoppage as then I got the experience of six rounds under my belt. She was a tricky awkward opponent but i stayed composed and won every round convincingly.”

The event at the Bolton Whites Hotel next month also features the likes of Ross Cooksey, Mike McGoldrick, Craig Bunn, Amin Jahanzeb, Chris Ogbonson and Sahir Iqbal.
