Marie-Eve DiCaire (14-0) of Terrebonne, Quebec made her country proud in her championship challenge at Centre Videotron in Quebec City on her promoter’s (Groupe Yvon Michel – GYM Promotions) show on Saturday.

DiCaire challenged Uruguay’s IBF Super Welterweight Champion Chris Namus (24-5, 8 KOs) in what was her second defense of the crown she won in August of 2017 over Yamila Reynoso.

Namus was well prepared for her championship defense but DiCaire’s workrate was hard to keep up with.

Official Scores: 97-93, 97-93, 96-94 for the new champion, DiCaire.

DiCaire remains unbeaten and with a ton to offer to the Super Welterweight championship mix.
