Naoko Fujioka Escapes Tenkai Tsunami Challenge with her WBA Flyweight Title After Split Draw

WBA Flyweight Champion Naoko Fujioka (18-2-1, 7 KOs) retained her title on Friday after 10 Rounds of action with Tenkai Tsunami (26-12-1, 15 KOs) at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Tsunami showed her youth early on before the champ came back to keep a tight bout and leave it in the hands of the three judges.

Official Scores: 95-95, 96-95 (Fujioka), 96-94 (Tsunami)

With the draw, Fujioka retains her championship belt for the second time since obtaining in late 2017.
