VIDEO: JONAS NO LONGER FEELING PRESSURE

Natasha Jonas is focusing solely on herself from now on as she prepares to make her long-awaited comeback at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on March 30.

It’s set to be a busy few weeks for Jonas (6-1-KO5), who is in action at the end of the month before then returning for a MTK Fight Night event at the Liverpool Olympia on April 19.

The talented star will be back in the ring for the first time since suffering a defeat last August, but that is firmly behind her and she’s determined to avoid any distractions from now on.

Jonas told mtkglobal.com: “I was getting compared to all of these other fighters, but I need to create my own path. The pressure is off me now so I can go about my own business and just focus on myself.

“Some of my greatest achievements in boxing have come after my biggest losses. Boxing is a constant learning experience, and you’re always finding out things about yourself that you don’t know.

“It was hard to take after the last fight. It wasn’t just that I lost, it was the way I lost, as that manner of a defeat has never happened to me before as an amateur or professional.

“It was something new I had to deal with and it was a bit hard to mentally overcome at first, but now I’m back in the game. I’ve had a lot of support from family and friends, and from other people that have come back from losses like that.”
