Great Britain’s 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist, Nicola Adams (3-0, 2 KOs), made a successful North American debut on Saturday.

The now 35 year old Super Flyweight hammered Soledad Macedo (15-14-1, 4 KOs) of Uruguay, relentlessly for about five and a half minutes before the referee stopped the punishment.

Adams was sharp and powerful as she unloaded at will on Macedo with both hands, tenderizing the head and midsection of the South American.

Official time of the stoppage: 1:26 of the 3rd Round.

Adams’ stated, “I really wanted to make a statement and I feel like I did that tonight. I’m hoping for a lot more fights in 2018 and hopefully a World Title shot at the end of the year.”

The bout was scheduled for 6 Rounds on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO Middleweight Championship Defense at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

Adams has crushed her 1st three opponents of her professional career, that just started in April of this year. All three of those opponents were above .500 record opponents, so no short cuts are being sought with Adams.
