Berlin Southpaw Nina Meinke (8-2, 3 KOs) clearly out-worked and out-pointed previously unbeaten Lucie Sedlackova (11-1-1, 4 KOs) to earn the EBU Featherweight Championship on Saturday at the Anhalt Arena in Dessau, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany.

SES Boxing’s Sedlackova, of Czech Republic, just never could mount much of a counter to Meinke’s technical gameplan.

At the opening of the 3rd Round, Meinke sent a straight left through the guard of Sedlackova, sending her off-balanced and to her behind. The knockdown was not brutal, so Sedlackova was able to regain her footing and continue.

Meinke kept a great workrate in collecting the over-abundance of clean punches to cruise to the Unanimous Decision win to become the first German to win the European Boxing Union belt.

Official Scores: 99-90, 98-91, 99-91
