Someone’s ZERO had to go!

Rosalinda Rodriguez should be named the “Louisville Slugger” after getting the points victory in a slugfest over Shelly Barnett on Saturday evening.

At Bourbon Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, “Venom: Rodriguez  (9-0, 2 KOs) wins the vacant WIBA Bantamweight Championship over “Machine Gun” Shelly Barnett (4-1-2) in an action packed championship bout.

Both of the combatants came in licking their chops, looking for gold – going head to head and toe to toe in a very aggressive match with lumps and cuts to prove the closeness.

This phone-booth fight was so tight in action, both looking for the inside action, snapping shots to head and cracking to the body.

Official scores:: 77-75, 79-73, 80-72 for the New Champion – Rodriguez

77-75 was about right, while the bout could have been scored either way in this hot matchup. It was no way a shutout or near shutout bout.

Bourbon Hall seems to be Rodriguez’s second home after consecutive wins at the venue.

The championship was presented by Eskridge Enterprises Inc. and Pretty Girl Productions.
