Salita Promotions appears set to start the holiday gift giving early this year with the anticipated showdown of WBC and WBO Middlweight Champion Christina Hammer and WBA and IBF Middleweight Champion Claressa Shields throwing everything, including there O Loses, into the mix on November 17th in Atlantic City, NJ.
The complete Middleweight Division Unification will take place at Boardwalk Hall and LIVE on Showtime TV.
28 year old Hammer (23-0, 10 KOs) comes in from Germany after making her US debut in July with global popularity and long-term grasp of her WBC and WBO straps over her 9 year professional career.
Shields (6-0, 2 KOs), being the younger by 5 years, brings major expectations and motivation into this highly visible and expected matchup. She has captivated global attention in the amateurs be winning 2 consecutive Olympic Gold Medals (2012 and 2016) before capturing multiple world championships at such an early stage of her professional campaign.
This bout has been planned for over a year now, as Dmitriy Salita signed Hammer to a multiple fight contract in late 2017 with the preconception of the Novermber 17th championship.
