Unbeaten Bantamweight Avril Mathie Added to Miami Fight Night on January 30

MATHIE SET FOR MIAMI HOMECOMING

Unbeaten female star Avril Mathie will have the chance to showcase her skills in front of her hometown supporters after she was added to the Matchroom Boxing event in Miami later this month.

Mathie (4-0-1, 2 KOs) will compete on the show at Meridian at Island Gardens on Thursday 30 January, live on Sky Sports and DAZN.

The bantamweight star will be looking to kick of 2020 with a bang, after an impressive 2019 which saw her pick up wins over Karen Dulin and Delaney Owen.

It is the first time as a professional that she will be competing in Miami, and the third time she has fought in Florida, with the bout against Owen taking place in Tampa, while her title clash with Samantha Salazr in 2018 was in Saint Petersburg.

Mathie joins her MTK Global team-mate Luke Keeler on the card, as he looks to become world champion when the Irishman takes on Demetrius Andrade for the WBO middleweight title in the main event.
