Japan’s five weight division champion Naoko Fujioka (17-2, 7 KOs) will defend her WBA Flyweight title on Friday at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan opposite Mexico’s veteran champion Irma Sanchez (30-7-1, 8 KOs).

Official Weights:
Fujioka: 110 lb
Sanchez: 110 lb

The former Minimumweight, Light Flyweight, Super Flyweight and Bantamweight, NOW Flyweight Champion Fujioka has been one of the most successful boxers of Japan. She will make this bout her second defense of the Flyweight crown that she collected by stopping Isabel Millan early in 2017.

The Mexican Sanchez has youth and experience on her side, being 13 years younger and having over twice as many pro matches. “La Guerita” won the right to contest for the full world title by defeating countrywoman Brenda Ramos in a close decision in October for the interim championshio belt.

This should be a fantastic matchup.
