WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana Juarez Looks to Extend her Success in Title Defenses when she Faces Carolina Duer on October 12

World Boxing Council Female Bantamweight champion, Mariana “Barby” Juarez, fights Argentina’s Carolina “Turca” Duer on October 12 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, making the ninth defense of her Green and Gold Belt.

Consistent, brilliant and iron cast determined, Mariana has notched a 21 successful defenses as WBC world champion, counting all her titles.

The first of them as WBC Interim World Champion, where she made 6 successful defenses (Carolina Álvarez, Susana Vázquez, Anahí Torres, Abigail Villar, Diana González and Maribel Ramírez).

Her second reign was as World WBC Flyweight Champion where she achieved 7 successful defenses (Gabriela Bouvier twice, Asami Shikasho, Diana Gonzalez, Anastasia Toktaulova, Arely Muciño and Shindo Go).

As bantamweight champion she adds 8 defenses (Terumi Nuki twice, Alesia Graf, Gabriela Bouvier, Carolina Arias, Susie Ramadan, Eva Naranjo and Diana Fernández).

At the moment, “Barby” has 10 consecutive victories, highlighting that 9 of these victories have been for the world title, and one more for the WBC International bantam title.

Juarez and Duer will be starring in the main event presented by Promociones del Pueblo and will take place at the Convention Center of Fresnillo, Zacatecas, on October 12, thanks to the invaluable support and facilities provided by the Municipal Government headed by Saúl Monreal Ávila.
