WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana Juarez Targeting Fatuma Zarika and her Super Bantamweight Belt

Mariana Juarez…next quest WBC super bantamweight title

After the 7th successful defense of her WBC bantamweight belt Saturday in Fresnillo, Zacates overcoming Spanish Eva Naranjo, Mariana Juarez states that her next step is to climb up to the super bantamweight division and fight champion, Fatuma Zarika.

She declared this during a teleconference during our WBC weekly press conference. For Mariana, it is apt to continue making history and even when she feels in top condition as bantamweight, she claims it is time to look for a new challenge and become a four-time world champion in different divisions.

However, Mariana will have to wait for the winner between Fatuma Zarika and Catherine Phiri who will clash on March 23 in Kenya. Those two previously fought in February 2017 winning Fatuma by unanimous decision.
