Kenya Enriquez ready to shine against Yesenia Gomez

WBC female interim light flyweight champion, Kenia Enriquez visited the WBC weekly press conference for the first time, to chat about her upcoming fight against the absolute champion Yesenia Gomez.

Kenya came to Mexico City as a special guest of the WBC, since last Sunday she was the Godmother of the seventh Jose Sulaiman Race of Champions.

Kenya Enriquez confidently declared that God’s timing is perfect and that although she has waited for this absolute title fight, she`s now more than ready to face the challenge.

“I am convinced that 2020 will be my year to shine, I have waited a long time to face Yesenia and today, my time has come. I will impose my physical and tactical work. I`ve gone over this fight many times in my head and in I see myself as the winner .

“I know full well that Yesenia is a great champion, I have known her for many years and her boxing growth is significant. But I have a dream and I will go for it, I am my biggest fan and I cannot fail.

“I`m confident it`ll be a spectacular match where the winner will be the audience, because I am sure that we will both give everything we`ve got. Boxing has changed my life, I was born into a very humble family. And from a very young age I decided to break that circle and focus on reaching my goals. Today I can say that I am happy with everything I have achieved, I know that there are still many goals to conquer but I am on the road and nothing will stop me.”
